As per the requirements and my experienced recommendation we used Microsoft VB.NET and SQL Server 2005 to program this site. The site uses Cyber Source API and Vital to process Credit Cards when buyers place their wine orders.
Security was of high concern for this website so we used, 128 bit SSL encryption and encrypted communication from the website to the database. Critical Credit card information was dealt with highest standards of security available.
Finally an administrative portal was created to manage changes to orders, and fulfillment of orders, again using the same principles of multilayered architecture and highest standards of security.
